The Playstation4 is better than the Xbox One. Why? Because it will get Bloodborne. End of discussion.

There just isn't any reason for me to get either of them. Neither of them are even backwards combatible. If I could play PS3 games on a PS4 I might get that because I never got to play any PS3 classics. And it's not like I don't have enough game consoles - I got 6 hooked up right now and games for many years to come including all the free Xbox Live Gold bonus games I don't have time to play.

PS4=Square Enix and other (J)RPGs for me ;-). (Doesn't own a PS4 yet). Xbox One=Ori and the Blind Forest T_T, but luckly it will come to PC too ^^. Still what console is best of them is not important, what is important that we can have fun regardless of what gaming system it is :-).

Well Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest don't have next-gen games and Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 are both coming to Xbox One so that's still not really an argument. I agree that the Playstation usually has more JRPGs though. I never really understood the definition of JRPG, is the only criteria that it has to be made in Japan, or does it have to be turn based and anime and stuff too?

...Does Dark Souls count as a JRPG? I mean it doesn't feel like a JRPG and I never would have guessed that it was made in Japan if I didn't already know it. But still, IT IS a japanese RPG...

Egil@ I can't really answer you about Dark Souls, because I think it is opinion based ;^^. For the Dragon Quest series there will be Dragon Quest Heroes and I think the developer of Chrono Trigger said that he wanted to continue Chrono Trigger in some sort of way :-). For Kingdom Hearts 3 on Wii U argument... you don't want me to write a wall of text ;^^.

Honestly I haven't really played that many Square RPGs. I've played FF1+2 and Bravely Default, and I've tried KH 1.5. Are they still worth playing? And which are the best ones? My favorite JRPG is EarthBound (and Dark Souls if it counts) if that helps.

Egil@ I am not sure what the best Square Enix game/franchise is, nor am I a judgey person by nature ;^^... but I guess the one that meant most for me is Kingdom Hearts :-). I enjoy deep stories together with the feeling of being on a journey or an adventure :-). Still there are a lot of Square games out the Apple Store and Google Play, if you are interested :-).

Yeah by "best ones" I really meant to say "your favorite ones". Sorry about that. I might check out Kingdom hearts, since the 1.5 Remix shouldn't be too hard to get. I want to try Chrono Trigger too, because Akira Toriyama, and because then I'd be able to take part in the Chrono Trigger VS. EarthBound debates...

Egil@ I am not a ranky person ;^^, but for as I said Kingdom Hearts meant the most to me ao I guess my N.1 Square Enix fave is Kingdom Hearts ^^. If you are interested in Chrono Trigger I think it is out on both the Apple Store and Google Play :-), though it is also out on DS outside it original system ;-). Most Square Enix games are good it is just the matter of taste :-).

Square Enix is doing a questionnaire right now. You can google it. You can tell your opinions straight to them. I told them I want to see Final Fantasy VII remake. I can say that THAT would be a game I could buy a new console for.

Square Enix Survey done ^^. Anyway I said that I want Kingdom Hearts 3 for Wii U, since it is kind of logical that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be for Wii U after all the handheld games we got :-). Egil@ Nice ^^, I hope you enjoy playing it :-).
