    In case you didn't know, each optional-to-obtain character has their own object to add in the Barracks. In this case, the lollipop tree is when you get Gaius. However, this is more of an assumption than a fact so I could be wrong. Also apologies if you already knew this.

    It's not exclusive to optional characters. Both Panne an Lucina join without player consent and they bring the Ylissean and Taguel banners if I remember correctly.
