    I think Nintendo are making remakes to wait for Zelda Wii U and make it feel like a shorter period of time. They said that in that short Zelda Wii U video.

    They do remakes all the time. from ocarina and MM on the gamecube, to link to the past on ds. every generation of consoles has their remakes to hold people over untill they can make a new game.
