that's it im hopeless, I give up, I can't find people online (obviously) and I tried playing with my miiverse friends, I created custom matches and told them to join, I tried to join their game

try it on the weekend, normally there are a lot of people playing but the normal team deathmath you can find daily

Just booted the game up. I chose Team Deathmatch and it only took a sec to find a game.

yes! I found out the problem, my internet connection settings were on normal and when I switched them to anyone, I instantly found matches and played a lot.
