So, I tried plugging in my N64, after years of negligence, and as I feared, I'm having a hard time getting it to work. I'll keep trying, hopefully it'll just start working.

  • Hurray! It just magically started working! And unlike the last time I tried, the picture isn't jumping!

  • Oh good!

  • I can't believe it, to be honest, the last time I tried it, all games had the same problem, with the picture moving. OOT seems to work fine, time to test some more games.

    Yeahs0
  • Haha. OoT would be the first game I revisit to. :D

    Yeahs0
  • As any good Zelda fan, I own so many copies of OOT, that I'll skip playing through the original (OK, maybe, we'll see), I'm more interested in seeing if I've got the censored version.

  • I see what you mean. *applauds*

  • Ah, seems it's the censored version, come to think of it, I'm not sure if the unscensored version was ever released in Europe.. It sure is weird to hold an N64 controller, it feels unfamiliar..

  • Was it dirty? Blow on it and get rid of the dust. Also, use isopropyl alcohol on the cartridges with a qutip. That helps a lot.

  • Actually, my experience tells me that the most important thing is to insert it in a very specific way, it was the same with the GB and GBA, though I do blow in it out of habit.

  • If a 64 or SNES game won't boot up, I've always blowed in the cartridge or if that doesn't work after a few times, the system. After 10 years all my games and systems still work. Even my SNES (1980).

  • Let's see now, what to play.... DK64? SM64? Banjo and Kazooie? Lylatwars? Nah, Superman 64 all the way!

    Yeahs0
  • Gamebuster, the Super NES is 1991, not 1980. The first Game & Watch is 1980.

    Yeahs0
  • Sorry. I wasn't born when it came out, I played it as a little kid (and recently, Mario World FTW) so I was never good about dates.
