Now, this requires a bit of explanation, so bear with me. I decided to do a run today after having completed Amazing Mirror earlier, and I was readjusting back to the physics. So, I went with Hammer as I would for record runs. Give or take a few runs, I was back in full swing after about 20 minutes. Then things got interesting when I got to the 11th fight…Spoilers below!

When I got to Queen Sectonia DX, I seemed to set up my Hammer Flips perfectly in the first section of the fight, but my mind was still unscrewed slightly from Amazing Mirror. I ended up mistiming my Hammer Flip, but in my frantic mashing, I had set up the damage in a way that finished the second section before she could summon the Sectras and teleport - effectively skipping all of those attacks.

The third place time you see above was the run where I discovered the above strategy. I also realized that you could hit Soul of Sectonia during the final battle while she's teleporting in the air. While it is difficult to do, I ended up shaving a couple of seconds due to landing the final hit during the teleportation sequence that takes place after the half health fireball & laser sequence.

With Fire (and flame Inferno) you can always catch her on the 5th swoop. I found out during one of my first Fire runs that I did with Soul of Sectonia.

Due to the way I get damage against Soul of Sectonia, hitting her on the 5th swoop won't work for me unless I was primed to finish her off on that hit - it's more important for me to land the swing of Hammer Flip in such a way that I jump and use Hammer Twirl afterwards, as that's how I rack up the damage quickly without being damaged by her Marx Soul Cutter move.
