  Not very good at it, but basically you need to make equally sized squares (typically somewhere between 2x2 and 5x5 pixels on the gamepad) in the shape of whatever you're trying to draw. The only hard part is differentiating between color; partially fill in the square, with more black pixels indicating a darker color. Try some easy examples (8-bit mario) to get some practice, just takes time. =p
