Hopefully that 2D and 3D Metroid rumor comes true. Would love a 3ds game like other m while the wiiu retains the prime gameplay.

    If it was true, it would be at E3. It wasn't, and Nintendo will wait a long time before announcing new games. This shows that the leaker got the info to early.

    I stopped playing Hunters as it literally hurt my hand. A lot. I'd love a 2D Metroid on Wii U though.

    I'd really like a new Metroid in the Style of the Prime-Trilogy. - I'd even buy a re-release of the MetroidPrimeTrilogy for the WiiU. A HD-Remake just like ZeldaWindWaker would help, keeping me occupied, while they work on a true WiiU-Title. And if they're unsure about the engine, well, the Unreal-Engine seems to work on the WiiU, making it a considerable choice.

    It's not a rumor. It came from an interview with Takahashi and Miyamoto (on Kotaku?) where they said both 2D and 3D Metroid would continue and we'd hear about something in the 'near future.' It's just a matter of 'when.'
