Nintendo needs to do what they did in the 90's and make proper game consoles, Not targeted at children. Nintendo is too focused on children they are loosing their hardcore fans. I mean no Flipnote 3D because it isn't safe for children. Come On Nintendo

  • That's more Leagality issues, I think. What with streetpass, it's possible to accidentally send innaproriate content. So, Nintend con'r control it, so they may be being blocked from launching it.

  • I'm totally pickin up what your puttin down more and more childish ip's idea's I mean why have the esrb and not take advantage they rushed this console and if BIG.N doesn't get more 3rd party support WiiU dead in less then 3 years awful virtual console bad launch titles online plays out of wack no party chat no killer app in the first year W.T.F nintendo get it together or i'm out sincerely yours

  • It would be an easy issue to solve. Have a parental lock for younger uses. Ninty knows that these locks aren't used wisely by parents so we're stuck with what we have. Get a Vita - they don't have this issue because they aren't as uptight.

  • how can a console be kiddy? it's all about the games! anyways, nintendo has always made games targeted towards everyone, a general audience not just kids... not just one group or the other. they've always been like that since NES. but since the gc (and a few on n64) theyve actually been allowing for and supporting more specifically mature titles, and on the wii u more than they ever did before.

  • nevermind... after i posted that i reread your post and got what you ment.. doh! but i do wish nintendo games these days didn't hold the players hand through the game.. i want at least just one of their series to retain that nes/snes way of dropping the player into the game without any information. as a kid i actually loved to get gameovers all the time in nintendo games lol

  • and yeah im still holding my breath for flipnote.. and i miss getting swapnotes from Nikki :(

  • Newsflash, nintendo first party characters have always been kiddy.

  • so anything, imaginative, creative, or inovative is childish? must all so called mature games, be gory, dull, sexualy explicit, and hyperealistic? i play if it's fun and nintendo delivers more than anyone. splatoon is a new fresh idea on a shooter genre, that couldn't be done anyway else. if it looked realistic would it have been more mature? or should they be spraying blood instead of ink?

  • Besides, I never found Mature games fun or difficult except the Wii version of Goldeneye. (And for the record, I play Zero Escape, and it's one of my favorite series.)
