This new zelda game is looking spectacular however some things are worrying me, one thing that worries me is how big the world is, i mean the original legend of zelda is one of the best but this world seems like it could take half an hour to cross the place even with epona. (sigh) there better be a quick travel system

  • Zelda has had quick travel from the very beginning, even if its first incarnation wasn't too reliable. Twilight Princess's overworld felt so huge because it was railroaded and empty. This overworld doesn't look railroaded at all, and it doesn't look empty either.

  • What's railroaded? BTW i might get TP, so any reviews?

  • Most Zeldas after the NES do have a quick travel system. I think this one will be fine! They said traversing the map will be innovative and take problem solving... I'm sure it will be great!

  • i have the same fears with an open world because emptyness always turns me off in big worlds. except in wind waker for some reason...

    Yeahs2
  • @Alex "Railroaded" means that the plot drags you through the overworld (like Illusion of Gaia) and gives you very little to explore. Also, there is no straight way to go through Twilight Princess's overworld; you have to go through some long, winding canyon most of the time.

  • Wind Waker is my fav, and that world was massive, but the quick travel system may not be put in play, another worrying thing is these dungeons, they might end up being a bit to big and a bit too open, there is a reason most people dont like the water temple "wheres that key?"

actually NES's zelda has also a quick travel system, in a cave you can find three warping zones, which are one-way only

  • i hope this game is loved and appreciated at its release!

    Yeahs1
  • Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot the whistle! So LOZ has had quick travel since the beginning!

    Yeahs0
