Whats everyones opinion on 'IF' Link was a girl in the new Zelda. It would fit into the cannon as the 3 cursed souls of Link, Zelda and Ganon are just reincarnated. Whats to say that this incarnation is a girl this time. What if Zeldas a Prince. Look at Assassins Creed with its 4 bland male counterparts. Have we taken a step back in videogames and Nintendo would be the best at enforcing this

    Flirting is fine. I just don't want the focus of a female Link to be romance. They would have to be careful, I personally think if they did a game where Link's current gender isn't mentioned until the end would be interesting. Also it would be easy to make Link adrodgynous and allow possible choice for gender. Like Pokémon gender can be chosen, but it won't affect gameplay elements.

    everything other than the move attract in pokemon ability raivalry. I like the Idea of never meantioning the gender of Link. That would be the best way of going about it personally.

    It would be hard due to pronouns, but it could be at the end Link decides to correct or affirm other characters ideas of his or her current gender. At the beginning you could be asked if you are a boy or girl, or near the end. Either way it could be a interesting way to take it.

    Not mentioning it creates a pronoun problem. You can't be refered to as "it" the whole game. But I see what your saying and it could be very cool. It reminds me of the original Metroid.

    I don't think they would allow you to choose your gender but you could choose your weapon hand in previous titles and they informed us on which is cannon so hears hoping.

    An easy work around would simply have everyone address you by name or a title. Onoy when you get talked about does it become harder to work around.

    It could be done. No romantic relation has ever been confirmed just implied. Acctually it sounds like a perfect opportunity for a timeline split. Imagine girl and boy Link being friends at the beginning you chose wether your a boy or girl and depending on which you chose and which one goes on the adventure two separate timelines are born.
