    Did you checked with pressing A a picture from him in the second floor? Then go down and wait untill he's back, talk to him again.

    Did you do it in your first playthrough? If so, don't you get to keep you colour camera for the second? I think the game conciders the task done since you already carry the reward for it. Not sure if I recall correctly but that'd be my first guess.

    I did do it on my first playthrough actually and when i started again i started with the Pictobox so i guess its done already? ;o
