Comparing to Spirit Tracks' Tower of Spirits, where you controlled two characters almost simultaneously, dual-character temples in Wind Waker are very sloppy. Using of Command Melody is tedious, you cannot call your assistants from another room, you can have only direct control of them, and their controls are awkward, especially for Makar. There is even no real two-player puzzles, compared to ST.

  • Well, to be honest, there is a lot... but in THIS particular dungeon, there is none. Sorry, Makar, but you are mostly useless, and, by the way, your strange flying controls and VERY HIGH rooms is not a good combination. Basically, this is my one and only real complaint to this perfect game, and I'm actually very glad that Nintendo managed to fix it in Spirit Tracks in a really awesome way.

  • I also think that this is the biggest issue that this game has. I would like the idea of a Coop-Dungeon, where 2 players are separated from each other, doing things that can help or damage the other player, but I think that would be really hard to do in an interesting or good way. Also, you couldn't do this in the story mode, so you had to add an additional mode.

  • The way they did it in Spirit Tracks is ideal. I am not a fan of dungeons in general in Zelda games (I'm more about overworld exploration and side quests), but, boy, I LOVED these dungeons. The problem is, I do not really see this working in traditional 3D Zelda with targeting system and without touch controls.

  • But if you are talking about classic two-player co-op or battle mode - I clearly see this coming in Zelda U. Both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks had battle mode separated from the main adventure, so why not? Besides, Wii U hardware is capable of doing separate screen multiplayer, and this scheme is already implemented in Hyrule Warriors.

  • They can even do it in main story mode, I think. Stone of Agony in OoT enabled N64 Rumble Pak, so we can have some sort of "Stone of Multiplayer" (LOL) which enables additional controller for some sort of assistant/helper character.

  • As long as the second player doesn't end up as an assistant, which just paralyzes the enemies, and being needed in the story mode, it would be nice to have some sort of multiplayer.
