    I don't see why not, I used to play 2 player on the SNES with my brother. GP mode was great, we used to work together.

    Yes, you can do 2 player races and even the good old fashioned Battle Mode, but you'll need another controller to do so. Preferably a Wii U Pro Controller for player 2 and the gamepad for player 1.

    I thought you could also use classic controllers with VC games... oh well, there's always the option of getting a Wii U Pro Controller. You could also use the Wii remote by itself, but you'll have to remap the SNES buttons due to the lack of some buttons on the Wii remote.

    About using Wii remotes on SNES games - there should be information in the game manual on how to set it up. Also what I meant by a Wii U Pro Controller is one of those brand new wireless controllers designed just for Wii U.

    It doesn't let you use wiimotes at all on this game, not even with other stuff connected.
