HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I can't believe we both went to the market lol, such a small world! Glad to hear you had all christmas off, hope you had a good'un ;) I went to Edinburgh for new year for the hogmanay and it was absolutely amazing!!! And the weather stayed dry lol on nye which was a massive bonus - it was quite possibly the best night of my life i recommend you go it's just incredible!!!!

We drove up there, took us about 5 hours? And we (5 of us, all friends) had created 6 cd's of a mixture of all our favourite songs so there were no radio arguments haha! On the first evening, 30th, we went to a viking torchlight procession in the centre with fireworks and it was brilliant! Went for dinner + cocktails afterwards too

Nye, we went to an escape the room thing and that was so fun!! We had an hour to escape a da vincii type room by using and finding clues etc. Then we went to lunch and i tried haggis, neeps and tatties LOL it was actually really nice!!! 1954 to 2014, massive firework display over the castle then it finished at 1. when we were walking back there was folk music bands with fiddles and bagpipes etc and me and the other girl had a dance haha - when we got back we all stayed up until 5 hahaha :D

Then new years day, the couple in the group went to the zoo and the three of us went to the national museum of scotland which is SO interesting! We didn't get round it all before it closed, granted we didn't get there particularly early cos of what time we got up haha :P Then that night we went to a tapas restaurant and then to a pub :) We went home on the 2nd (this friday) and had lunch before :)

That's true, people say do a job you love, but if you get one that pays generously then you can do stuff you want, buy what you want and go where you want!
