Question

Did anyone notice in the Zelda Wii U trailer that all of links equipment was being carried by his horse (epona?), even his sword?! I wonder if the plan is a more realistic approach where link can only carry a few items on his own at any given time? Could make for some fun and varied dungeon exploration if the items you had on you dictated the way you approach puzzle solving in different ways.

    That's a very good idea! It also helps fix some flawed Zelda logic, like how he's capable of carrying iron boots, 100 bombs, 100 arrows, potions, and a shield all at the same time. Either the items are as light as a feather, or because he's THE FREAKING HERO OF HYRULE. Link can do whatever he wants! You can't argue with that :)

    Well the explanation is pretty simple: It's a magic bag. ;-) But a different "more realistic" approach could also be fun.

    Haha! I also noticed that he had bomb arrows which could quite likely be a more realistic replacement for those comically large bombs he carries around in the other zelda games.

    Nothing about the iron boots are realistic, you don't lose 100 pounds of weight just because you put a 100 pound thing in your pocket, instead of on your feet. I noticed Link had a quiver, for the first time, and I like that.
