    It's just her costumes before the Zero suit that shes had for over 10 years. It's not a big deal, it's a good callback to the older 2D Metroid games.

    well no, in the original metroid game the faster you beat the game the less clothes she wpuld have on when the suit was taken off. this is just recreating, in yes a numbed down way the origen of her game clothing.

    also calling samus that for wearing no clothes on her stomache and reveling shorts, but you dont seem to be metioning im mario cart. all the female charictors pn bikes have skin tight costumes, and with rather large breasts. so kf your gonna call any one that dont make it samus!

    Apologies if I've offended anyone, I can assure you it wasn't intended. I myself have never played the Metroid series so I did not know that she actaully wore shorts in the mainstream game, I thought it was a costume change just in Smash Bros. Obviously I was wrong =/
