E32015 Prediction, Nintendo announces a new console (almost as powerful as a PS4) it'll be released November 2015, all support for the WII U will be cancelled except Zelda. Zelda will be the last WII U game released, it'll also be a launch title for the new Nintendo console. Prediction E32017 Nintendo announces they're been bought by Sony as the new console also failed.

    If it weren't for everyone with exactly 0 faith in the Wii U, IT WOULD SELL! But everyones too focused on "Nintendos going down the toilet, their console isn't powerful enough blah blah blah." It doesn't matter. It's a Nintendo console with the games we want. Shut up about them failing and go get yourself Super Smash Bros, Hyrule Warrior, Super Mario 3D World, Wonderful 101, and whatever I forgot!

    Actually, the ground rumor is that the console that Nintendo is currently working on won't be released for a few more years, but it will be more powerful than any home console to date, with full disc reverse compatibility.

    @Mighty, it is up to Nintendo to persuade consumers and 3rd party devs that their machine is worth supporting, they have failed in that regard. @16bit, Sony quite simply don't have the money, worst case scenario Nintendo ditch home consoles and focus entirely on the handheld market.

    Way I see it, kids today try to have too many systems too many games. I think back to when I was a kid I played zelda 1 for years, and 64 era I plAyed OOT mario kArt and oo7 over &over, (there were other games too), these days I see kids that love nintendo loosing interest because they have to many systems or a PC, your need to play thru a game a few times to really milk out its full potential.

    I really don't like SM3DW and I own it and have almost completed it. I lost my interest in the game, I think New Super Mario Bros WII U is a great game, but I don't like Mario 3d world or the galaxy games. I like Super mario sunshine & mario 64

    also Sony is coming back, so may have less money in the bank than Nintendo but Sony is worth more money, plus the PS4 will dominant just like the PS1 & PS2 did, Nintendo will struggle and Sony will buy them in the near future and we will get great consoles with Mario/zelda plus great 3rd party support just like the SNES days

    It might not be as rosy as you think. Assuming Sony could ever be in the position to buy Nintendo they do have a different way of doing things, and there is no guarantee that people like Miyamoto would be willing to work for Sony. Nintendo's properties would in all likelyhood fundamentally change.
