  effort for nintendo to turn around. But also it isn't just Nintendo who are in trouble but Sony and Microsoft too. And to be honest I can't blame people for not being interested in any 8th gen console. 3 consoles per generation + exclusives + portable consoles + hype overselling games + lack of backwards compatability (games and controller, I know Wii U is baccomp but some owned a 360 or Ps3)

  Ok looks I said I wasn't gonna respond but I'll try to keep this brief.Looks like you like like to desgree for the sake of desagreeing.When the wii was announced it was laughed at by the gaming media and so called hardcore gamers.What did nintendo do?Pushed motion controls wii will like to play commercials and pushed it on tv everything from oprah and ellen.It was advertised to the general.......

  time it was destined to fail.Remember during the video game crash the nes was laughed at and everyone was over gaming.Nintendo said they will pay for the demo units and take the loses!They took a gambled and the rest is history.Fast forward to the wii and similar scenario it was laughed at but look how much of power house it was in sales!The problem with the wii u is that one nintendo.....

  thinking the phenom of the wii brand wii carry over so they didn't advertise and taking backseat letting 3rd parties take the driver sewt both mistakes.Believe me if nintendo and they can still do it advertised with a more traditional play it loud style commercials it will cater to the core and if they advertised with the more of a wii will like to play style it will attract the general.....

  first time known gamer picks up a nes controller for the first time.They laugh have a good time but they just don't get hook.Turn off the system and go outside and play or are more passionate about other activities like football or collecting comics and so on.It don't mean they don't like gaming.Its just they the casual like the name say play casually.Their the ones that you have to advertise.....

  advertising the wii u heavily before blackfriday and christmas holiday.They can easily get alot more sales then they currently have.Not saying its gonna be the #1 during the holiday but with heavy advertisement they can give the other 2 a run for their money.Sorry for the long repy once more.Lets just agree to desagree.Remember advertisement attracts known gamers.Those known gamers turn into.....

  casuals.Some remain casuals and others grow into core gamers.They all started and got interested in gaming by what? Yup advertisement including word of mouth.Its no difference from a casual boxing fan and an actual hardcore boxing fan in terms of passion. hbo pay per view needs both to make those sales and what yup make a profit.Or a better comparison a hardcore football fan and a casual fan.
