Question

Is anyone from Capcom watching Miiverse comments about Resident Evil Revelation 2 asking for a Wii U port? It started as a 3DS exclusive ffs, is Capcom so much in Sony pockets that are ignoring the Nintendo fanbase?

    @Boggness, Nope. Nintendo said on investors meeting in Q1 2014 that Wii U will be supported until the user base that bought it would be satisfied. That means a normal console generation, give or take 5 or 6 years.

    I,ve seen a preview of RER2 and it's absolutely not graphically intensive there's no reason not to port it to wii u though to be honest i'm not sure it's a good game it seems to focus more on action than the first one and it's divided into weekly chapters.

    The thing is RER2 and other Resi games need to come on Wii U for fans of the series that are using only Nintendo consoles. I do not think a port of Resident Evil 5 and 6 as a collection on Wii U would sell bad. Maybe pick up interest on Wii U owners who like to play this games. I would bought them because I have all Resident Evil games on Nintendo systems.

    Western 3rd parties simply do not care for Wii U. Capcom on the other hand with the help from Nintendo should port Resident Evil games that skipped the Wii onto Wii U.

    I've played all the RE on nintendo systems to and there's no reason to not port these games on wii u,there's an audience for that. What really upset me was not having the Re1 remake knowing the history of this game and how it's tied to the GC.

    I think Capcom are doing that to appease the Playstation fanboys for the Nintendo exclusivity all this 12 years ago... Plus Sony are paying the bills now with Street Fighter V exclusivity and the Vita port of RER2. From business perspective Nintendo made a better deal with Monster Hunter exclusivity but there is big Resident Evil fanbase on Nintendo platforms as well. If Capcom was consistent

    with their multiplatform approach on Nintendo systems they would have extra revenue from them. But they choose to ingore the Wii with a huge userbase and that strategy with flop after flop on the HD front of Ps3 and Xbox 360 brought them near closure. They managed to destroy the Resident Evil franchise after Nintendo help them with the best entry of 4, releasing 5 and the finishing blow was 6.

    Don't get me wrong I like both 5 and 6 RE games BUT without Mikami on the helm the quality dumped down quite a lot. Resident Evil was a prestige franchise in the past, now it just lives on nostalgia alone with episodic gaming and microtransactions to nickel and dime the loyal fanbase. I hope Capcom reconsider and bring a definite version on Wii U/3DS without this awful tactics.

    I don't know it unfair that nintendo owners have to buy other 3rd parties and have to pay a few hundred dollars. The post you responded to me makes no sense. Most people by at least one console per generation. It'll take more than RE to sell the Wiiu.
