I'll not upradge to New 3DS because I have my Pokemon X/Y 3DS XL. I prefer my X/Y 3DS to the New 3DS, and I will not be trading it in or buying a New 3DS- don't need the C-stick since there's Circle Pad Pro (do they have it XL-sized?) Just my opinion.
