same person who decided the name for 'new super mario bros.' which we're still calling it as for this long now and has been a worldwide hit.

Yeah… Looks like Nintendo is out of creative names right now. I mean: Mario Party 10 Mariokart 8 New Super Mario Bros. 2 Super Smash Bros. 3DS & WiiU It doesn't surprise me anymore. We will see more like this in the future.

Think about it: The Super 3DS. The button colours are based off the Super Nintendo. It may not be creative, but it's better than "New 3DS."

Good point, it would be a better name all right. Now you can confuse people with the sentence 'I want a new 3DS'. Do you want an new 3DS in general or a new old 3DS? …Okay, that already confused me while I was typing it. GJ, Nintendo.

True also they did call the Wii U well... Wii U! They just added a U to the Wii!
