    You can only do it whilst in a game , during your game press the home button, then click onto Miiverse (don't worry your game will pause) then go to write a post and in the top right corner there will be a little box shaped icon , click on that and select top or bottom screenshot and then post as normal.

    You can't do it on certain games such as super smash bros or pokemon though and it won't work on the youtube app btw.
