    No but they level faster if you pair Them up with your self because you have the skill vetaren witch bosts exp for the Unit that your paired up with by 50%

    You can also get the DLC skill Paragon which doubles the exp that unit receives

    Paragon works like veteran you HAVE to pair up for it to kick in to effect.

    No, they don't level faster/get more XP. In fact they gain less XP αfter a while compared to Normal mode. @emil Veteran works only for the unit that has it equipped.

    @T-rexto1 Nope, no pair-up is needed for Paragon, you just have to equip it.
