Well...I've finished the game for a second time and I cried...again. If not more so than the first time. This game exists to make me cry!!! Why do people say that the story of this game sucks? It's the most emotional thing ever!

I think most people who say the story sucks are die-hard pre-Awakening fans who want something to moan about.

  • Having never played an older game (even though I really want to) I can't comment on how the story of those games compare with this one all I know is that the story of this game doesn't deserve the amount of criticism it gets. =/

I haven't played any of the others. Probably never will. They may have good stories, they may have better stories, but Awakening still has a great story.

  • There are many reasons: -Antagonists lack good motivations. -Transition from arc to arc is very poorly. -The Walhart arc is basically a filler. -All choices, bar the last one, don't change anything and the last one doesn't have a meaningful consequence. etc. Don't confuse me with a hater. I've just told you what other people think.

I know those aren't entirely what you think, but I feel the need to respond anyway: 1: Gangrel: mainly (slightly justified) revenge against Ylisse, feeling that they haven't paid enough for the previous exalt's crimes. Walhart: partly because he just wants to conquer, but also because he wants to stop Validar and the Grimleal ressurecting Grima Validar and Grima don't have as much obvious...

... motivation, yet Grima's probably doing it because he just enjoys destroying things. IDK. 2: I felt the arc-to-arc transitions worked pretty well. True, the Grima arc could have been a bit slower, but overall it didn't seem too bad. 3: It only comes up in about one line of dialogue, but the Valm arc acts as a way for Validar to prepare for Grima's return.

4: eh... I kinda agree on this one. The choices basically determine how much of a... um... "not great person" you are, the final one especially. Choosing the Chrom ending just feels really cheap and unsatisfactory. The kill Grima ending coud've decided whether you live or not based on how many supports your Avatar has. Aren't opinions fun?

  • The options should definitely effect the outcome of events more and personally- I want more video clips in the next game as well. I think the second arc of the story is too drawn out and the Grima arc is too short but I can still see importance with every chapter and arc...
