I'm still trying to figure out a tactic for the boss. You can steal mega-elixirs from Guzzlers, which I believe are on the little inlet of land in the Eternia reason near the obelisk. Spiritmaster's fairy ward should prevent all ailments, and berserk is probably one of them.
