    You can't actually split them. But there's a way. Open your inventory with - touch the item you want to use to select it. Then on the empty slots of your inventory touch where you want to put the item. This way you can put the items where you need them to create other items. For example to create a craft table, select the required item and then touch on each of the 4 empty slots on your inventory.
