This is ridiculous. Every time I die - which happens mostly because there is no audible sign my health is low and I basically starve without noticing it - all my deep mines are flooded. I'm not going to play this until this gets fixed.

It's not really bad, on the contrary, it's actually pretty promising. But there are a few issues that can really drive you up the wall.
