Why do all new Nintendo IPs take place post-apocalypse on Earth? First Pikmin takes place on Pangaea Ultima with humans extinct and ticking Geiger counters around, now Splatoon which is set on Earth when humans are extinct and sealife has evolved and taken the surface. Not that I'm complaining - just seems like an interesting trend. xD
