SOMEBODY HELP! I have just gotten Shmash Wii U and because there was not enough room for the update on my system memory I had to move the Hyrule Warriors data to a USB storage device. But now when I open HW, it sais there is a problem with the USB storage device and it doesn't let me do anything. And I can't just remove it and play without the update data, because it is required to start the game.

did you format the usb first,and what size is it?

i hate that i went onto youtube on the ps3 and an update came up and i tryd it 4 times and an error came up and it would sign me out of psn and it wouldn't let me just not do it but i eventualy got it to download after that i went on to youtube and it was SOOOOOOO SLOW like updates are supoust to be good WORST.UPDATE.EVER

Yes, I formated it first and it's 4GB I think.

and i reccomend NOT useing a USB devise i almost lost over100 songs on my usb device becase of the wii u and the updates are a good bit small its only one thing per update so its not that worthwhile

@tara Well, I wouldn't have used one if I hadn't needed to. Just, all SSB4 updates since release take a ton of space, and there wasn't enough left on my system memory.

shes right though,you should have spent a little more money on an external hardrive,plus a 4gb usb isn't really good for a game like hyrule warriors,youre better off putting very small games on the usb!

The thing is, I put a few games on another USB storage device before (that one was only 1GB) and it worked perfectly fine. So why doesn't it work the same way with the other one?

its most likely because when a usb stick says 4gb,theres just like 3.8gb,so hyrule warriors is probably too big

Hyrule Warriors is a little over 700MB, so that's not the problem. My Wii U just can't deal with the USB storage device. So if there's nothing I can do about that, I guess I'll just get another one and hope it works.
