Ken Masters compariva già nel primo Street Fighters e poteva essere utilizzato dal secondo giocatore. Gli fa dato un cognome per tutelarsi da possibili cause legali da parte della Mattel che produceva il Ken di Barbie. La cosa divertente era che anche quel cognome corrispondeva ad una linea di giocattoli prodotta sempre dalla Mattel!
