I've never played a Zelda game… so I'm wondering… what's a good place to start? =-)

  • if you don't know where to start i suggest ss sense it starts the time line

  • Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. If you like those I recommend Twilight Princess, Link's Awakening, Wind Waker, and Minish Cap.

since you own a Wii U and 3DS, you'll have access to most of the games from either physical or digital copies. for newcomers, i recommend the following games available to you: -Ocarina of Time (Wii U/3DS) -Wind Waker (Wii U) -A Link Between Worlds (3DS) -Link's Awakening (3DS) these games should let you know if you'll like the Zelda series. enjoy and good luck!

  • I recommend Wind Waker, because somehow that game led me into the series!

    Yeahs5
  • The golden NES original would be a great start.

  • Start by order of release. Zelda1, Zelda2, ALttP, Links Awakening,OoT, and so on. All while picking up any new games that happen to come up just so you're not behind the times. Lol

  • for wii u ? hyrule warrior but is good for start on the serie because it's so zelda for a spin off

    Yeahs1
  • Well I think you should start with wind waker, it was the first EVER game I saw and its a great Zelda game, but its very different from the other games so maybe Ocarina of time or Twilight princess (^-^)

  • Definitely not Majora's Mask. Skyward Sword. It's a good place to start.

    Yeahs4
  • If you want to go 3d first Ss or OoT, cause the other 3 3d ones are sequels to OoT. Other wise just go by order of release to have an appreciation of how the series evolved. :)

  • well it depends on what you expect of Zelda game if you want a game where there aren't many sidequests I would recommend, but if you really love exploring you should try any 2d games or wind waker. I would recommend Wind Waker because of the music and exploring, but I haven't tried ocarina of time.

  • I didn't like it but many people did. I suggest starting with Wind Waker HD. It's simple, fun, beautiful and easy. I think these elements make a great start to the Zelda franchise. You should play Twilight Princess HD afterwards, and then the new Zelda for Wii U coming in 2016 and after that revisit older Zelda games.

    Yeahs1
  • By the way the first Zelda game I played that got me hooked into the Zelda series was Twilight Princess for the Wii but it's aged and the graphics don't look so good. The start of the game is also pretty slow, you kind of have to see someone else play it so that you'll want to play it.

    Yeahs1
  • JUST FOLLOW THE TIMELINE.

    Yeahs1
  • SS is the first one in the timeline and it's the best Zelda ever thanks to the gameplay.

    Yeahs1
  • Either A Link Between Worlds or Wind Waker (HD)

    Yeahs1
  • Windwaker, it is easily the most beautiful and fun one.
