Question:Would you like to see the legend of Zelda/Pokémon crossover game? Imagine Link adventuring in the land of Hyrule, exploring old temples and dungeons, battling monsters, bosses and of course saving the princess from clutches of evil with help of a little pokémon comrade at his side. What about you amice?(friends). What are your thoughts about this dream game of mine?

  • I don't like the idea of seeing even more Pikachu, it's already the mascot of the series and Ash's partner pokèmon. I prefer the Eevee idea. It has way more potential.

  • You're right, Eevee is much better Pokémon partner for Link. I wish that Nintendo Co. develops this crossover game someday..

    Yeahs1
  • How about this: In Termina, Eevee cannot evolve like it usually did in kingdom of Hyrule but instead, when Link uses the transformation masks, Eevee transforms in to, for example, a Zora form of itself.(White scaly skin, blue spots on its tail, back and ears, fins growing from its forelegs.) With ability to create electric barriers and swim as fast as Zora Link can. What are your thoughts, Ashton?

  • I think the pokèmon you might find in an area should change after you beat its dungeon, like the swamp having many poison types, which are replaced by grass and water types after finishing the dungeon. Maybe even have them change with each of the three days. Also, what could be a good pokèmon to have as Skull Kid's (or other important characters') partner?

    Yeahs1
  • I can imagine deku Eevee, goro Eevee, and zora Eevee, but what special ability might normal Eevee have to help Link? Could it also be affected by non-transformation masks, or make use of items? What could Fierce Deity Eevee be like?

    Yeahs1
  • I like your idea that pokémon species change after you defeat the temple's boss. In Snowhead mountain, there are ice-type pokémon until the spring comes and in the Ikana canyon where ghosts and the undead roam is of course, ideal place for ghost-type pokémon. Zorua is perfect for Skull Kid because they both are tricksters. Partners of Anju and Kafei are female and male Meowstics.

    Yeahs1
  • Oh, and in Romani Ranch, there are special Miltanks that produce mystical Chateau Romani milk! Normal Eevee's ability would be like this: It can see and sense invisible things like hidden grottos or enemies. If there is a hidden grotto, it looks at it. If it is an enemy, Eevee looks at the direction where enemy is and starts growling. Normal Eevee can use attacks like Scratch and Swift.

    Yeahs1
  • Fierce Deity Eevee's fur is silver/white coloured like Deity Link's hair. Eyes are completely white and it has red and blue markings on its face. Fierce Deity Eevee can shoot bright blue energy spheres at bosses like Fierce Deity Link and use move that looks like Iron Tail, except that tail sparkles and blue energy surrounds it.

    Yeahs1
  • Don't forget fish pokèmon at the fishing holes! Maybe each area could also have a legendary pokèmon to find. Alongside the boss of each dungeon, there could also be one or several boss pokèmon for each temple. Bugs with Odolwa, Gogoat and other goat pokèmon with Goht, fishes with Gyorg, not sure what for Twinmold, probably flying or ground types.

    Yeahs1
  • Of course, Eevee is not immortal. Enemies can hurt it with their attacks and if Eevee faints, a healing fairy will revive it. If Link doesn't have healing fairies in his bottles, the screen goes black and text says: 'Protecting his fainted friend from further harm, Link hurried to the Great Fairy's Fountain..' Link can also give red/blue potions or milk for Eevee to restore its health.

    Yeahs1
  • Could Link train more pokèmon than Eevee? Would there be a pokèmon storage system? Would pokèmon other than Eevee be lost when Link goes back in time, or would he be able to keep them? How could battles work? I think things could still happen in real time while you choose the moves for your pokèmon to use on an enemy (but pokèmon can only use attacks while you target an enemy to use them on).

    Yeahs1
  • The wild pokémon that can be found in the overworld are friendly creatures, except those that are found in the temples. You (the player) can command Eevee to use one of it's moves but Eevee can also use the moves by its own, too. There should be puzzles that can be only solved as Eevee, which means that you must control Link's furry little friend to solve it.

    Yeahs1
  • I also thought a story that explains how the pokémon came to Hyrule. Two centuries ago before the Unification War, a mysterious portal appeared in the depths of Lost Woods. Peculiar creatures, each with different forms and sizes emerged from it and so began the harmonious coexistence between the people of Hyrule and pokémon.

    Yeahs1
  • Now that we've gone over a pokèmon crossover based on Majora's Mask, how could one based on the same Link's adventures before that in Ocarina of Time be different? Would he have a different partner pokèmon if any? I think he could have a pokèmon that is not evolved when he is a kid, but has evolved by the time he's an adult seven years later. How about Ganondorf, Zelda, and the sages?

    Yeahs1
  • Eevee still is an excellent partner, both in story and gameplay-wise. Princess Zelda's partner would be female Kirlia when she is a child which evolves into Gardevoir when she is an adult. Gardevoir would protect it's friend even if it costs its life. That's why it is great partner choice for the princess.

    Yeahs1
  • Ganondorf's partner would be Hydreigon because its appearance mirrors the King of Evil's lust to get the Triforce. Saria's pokémon would be Chikorita, Darunia's is Emboar, princess Ruto's friend is Floatzel, Nabooru's partner is Krokorok, Impa is partnered with Sneasel and finally, Rauru's partner is Noctowl.

    Yeahs1
  • Eevee is sent to Link by Great Deku Tree and it becomes his partner. This Eevee can speak to Link telepathically and tells the names and information of the enemies when you Z-target them and press the icon with the image of Eevee. So technically Eevee is a replacement of Navi the fairy but much, much better.
