Been trying all the different options and rulesets (something I like to do in this type of games). Unlocked the first two secret courts and amassed some coins. Speaking of which, I like the system: they function as an ongoing score for unlockables a la MK8, but you can use them to pay for continues or buy achievement-related unlockables without getting them. Which I won't do. I'm no casual.

    It's not boring. The gameplay is near perfect: fast, smooth, and fun. Its glaring problem is the lack of content which can be a turn off. I mean, you can't play with friends in online, all courts reuse the basic model with some variations (in previous games, they were fully different), only 16 characters, no Mii support, tournaments being replaced by that knockout challenge, etc. I'd say a 6/10.
