Is Nintendo & SONY in the game together? If Xbox did a handheld Nintendo will smash it and if Xbox does a console then SONY will smash it. Why doesn't WiiU have DVD player, is Nintendo saying get another device?

There might be mobile phones but that wouldn't stop Nintendo or Sony to try and push the handhelds futures such as 3D on smartphones is a possibility thanks to the Nintendo 3DS.

Sales of the Vita continue to remain below expectations. Sony initially expected to sell at least 5 million units of its handheld in their FY13 (their fiscal year which goes from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014). Sony doesn’t release the exact figure of Vitas sold, but instead lumps them together with sales of the PSP and the Vita TV. Even still, the numbers are less than stellar.

My apologies for the late reply, I've been preoccupied. Just because the presence of Konami, Square Enix, Capcom, and Namco is small doesn't mean the Wii U isn't a gaming dedicated machine. Nintendo has been struggling with 3rd party support for the Wii U, but their first party titles are generally superb. Technically all of those companies have at least a few games on the Wii U.

I have more faith in the Virtual Boy 2 coming out. Sony will more than likely never make another handheld system

Nintendo will always rule the dedicated handheld gaming market, but the home console market is a funny thing, i thought last gen was such a tight race between them , i dont think it's healthy for gamers with Sony's lead this gen, they may have a vast array of games coming ,but so many remasters turn me of. also the DVD/Bluray or not DVD / Bluray capable question, most dedicated film fans will-

- have a proper machine for film playback, many have multi region machines to play imports, plus why wear out your game machines drive playing films, plus Nintendo dont want to pay for the privalidge of paying for DVD and Bluray licensing, which would be past onto us the customer, some of which would go to Sony as there part inventors of bluray. - playback from a external usb drive for music,music video and mp4 movies. because i would rather use my Wii U for that then my PS3 as it's much quieter. My PS3 sounds like a turbine winding up.

Like funkylag accurately stated, Sony have said the market is not healthy for a new PSVita so that probably confirms they aren't developing another one. Sony don't even make games for it anymore. Plus like the wiiu, vita sales aren't great. The Vita and The WiiU are just not successful compared to the PSP and Wii. At the moment with Vita mainly getting japan games and indies i wouldn't recommend.

As has loads of indie developers, the worst ones like EnjoyUp I am sure Sony will welcome em to make games for PSVita2, the good devs who make ok games will go on PS4 and the dodgy devs who are thieves will make games for PSVita2.. I don't think Nintendo needs to worry about DVD or Blu-ray playback anymore. That's all old news now. I mean who really cares? My dad is seriously the only person I know who still collects physical movies over watching digital. Why not build a console that plays music CDs while they're at it?

Well, don't hold your breath for the second PS Vita. I doubt it'll even happen, considering Sony's financial issues.

Nintendo is still going to do an NX even though the WiiU as been unsupported and Nintendo have become unreliable, Nintendo unnecessary handhelds such as 2DS and The New 3DS and I guess they will try out do New 3DS with a the New 3DS XXL or the The New 2DS.

Many dont see throught the facts, myself included , i did some research, a i surf the world. Sony is in dire straights , the Playstation dept is the only profitable unit, there leaking money everywhere. I can see the Playstation brand being sold of on the future if they dont improve their other departments. Last Gen Nintendo clearly won overall.

But if you take all this gens current dedicated hardware , no tablets or phones included, and you look at the individual sales figures as hardware overall , Nintendo are leading again, ith a 50% market share to Sony's 35% and Xbox last with about 14.5 % . This of course takes into account home console and handheld sales. Nintendo are doing OK .

They're only unreliable to YOU, Master Lee, because they didn't feel the need to put a stupid DVD player into the Wii U. Plus we're still getting games for the Wii U this year too.
