Skyward sword is a great game. maybe people dislike it because of how the world wasnt so open.

it's different for everybody. I love the story, but I didn't really like the game. I didn't like how there was very little to do flying above the clouds. And when you're on the ground, I didn't like how being outside the dungeon had so many puzzles it felt like you were inside a dungeon. As for combat, I didn't like how it felt like a mini-game.

and I didn't like how the controller kept going "off" and we had to keep calibrating it over and over again.

I don't "hate" SS, but it's by far my least favorite 3D Zelda game. Zelda has always encompassed, at least on paper, a grand adventure, which SS lacked to the highest degree with its minimalistic and linear world to explore. The enemy design was complete garbage as a lot of things looked way too goofy and non-imposing at all (although there were some cool designs too, like Ghirahim, Levias, etc...

The enemy A.I. was even more subpar than even other modern Zelda games, which needs to be improved upon in the first place, mainly because they acted in a way with the motion controls (which is another problem a lot of people had with the game, myself not actually included). I could understand how, if it was your first Zekda game you'd think it's good, but it really was lackluster, and that's why

Zelda for Wii U is basically going in the polar opposite direction of SS. Lmao. Even the developers are able to see SS's major shortcomings. Oh, and the handholding was excessive too. . . Might as well just bring us to every destination itself (the game). That being said, I've beaten SS twice, once on Hero mode, and I don't really have any desire to ever play it again. Origin story was alright.

Good question. My theory is they suck at motion controls, because 85% of complaints i see about that game are about that. Other complaints include the hand holding by Fi, the teen drama and the poor overworld, which are legitimate. But certainly not enough to break the game, there are many great qualities these people seem to overlook.

These great qualities include but are not limited to: diverse regions, fun, stellar dungeon design, an active and expressive Link and supporting characters, the motion controls (if you know how to use them, you become so much more engaged in the gameplay than other zelda titles), and the feeling of adventure which was very present in my experience.

The problem is, they forced the motion controls a lot, it needs to be calibrated every 5minutes or when you need to be precise, i wished they gave you the option to play with a classic or gamecube controller, they somehow made them worse than TP motion control, the radar thing is annoying and it was done way better in TP, Fi is annoying and useless, she is just there stating the obvious

I don't like it because of all the forced downtime. 38 minutes of forced cutscenes in the beginning, and... Fi.
