    I don't think there's really any need to remake the game. It wasn't particularly popular, the game is still fairly common in shops, and because of the virtual console publication it is playable on 3DS and Wii U. Normally Nintendo don't remake games unless they have a large following and there is high demand for them. Normally Nintendo don't remake games that are playable on the most recent systems
