    One of my villagers said they enjoyed their present, but they were just being polite. For me two of my villagers wanted wallpaper, I saved before giving it to them and one said they "loved" it, but I could tell they didn't mean it I then reloaded the game and gave them the other one and they reacted differently saying it was exactly what they wanted... hope this makes some sense.
