this is my Great Sword set to fight Deviljho. It is possible with a Tali that has Hearing 8 - Bomb Boost 10, a bomb weapon with natural purple + 3 slots. Never before I played a game for so many hours, it's one of the best ever.

  • I'm going to try one more time to get into it Do you use different weapon sets?

    Yeahs1
  • Dennis, just take your time with the game. Find a weapon that you like and stick with it then you have the most success. I played with the Charge Blade for almost 1000 hours then added Dual Blades, a little hammer, now I practice with Great Sword. Charge Blade will always be my main weapon.

  • I have 40 sets, had to delete a set now and then when I got a new Relics and made a new set or changed old ones. I made specific sets for Teostra, Rajang, Deviljho. Then status and element sets and sets that go along with certain weapons bec. of their skills. This all grows when you play for a long time and want to enhance your fighting style.

  • Tnx summer I'm going to try it again. I love the bow but can't get used to it so I'm also messing around with the charge blade and that went pretty well. Glad to hear it saves you money haha

  • IronWall+TremorRes, great Anti-Jho set!

    Yeahs1
  • yes Korok! I also tried to get HG Earpl. in, it helps when he's Apex then you can attack when he's roaring or heal. In my Charge Blade Jho set I have Challenger +2, Iron Wall, Tremor Res., S+1, thunder CB Relic with higest raw attack. I'm still bad fighting Jho with Great Sword, must practice more.

  • Dennis, Charge Blade is fantastic. When you cancel a Super Attack you can power up the shield and axe attack does 20% more damage. You have shield bash with the element when it's charged, many different axe attacks, Super, Ultra, a strong block .... I suggest to watchna tutorial for this weapon. Ones you get used to CB it's just great.

  • Oh yes HGEarplugs is a must, your second set seems better for me with Challenger+2^^ Perfect would be HGEarplugs, Challenger+2, IronWall, S+1 ;) A bit off-topic, just to tell I'm not MH4U but still MH3U player...tryin' hard to solo G-Rank Alatreon, the one who resists to me in a face to face!

    Yeahs1
  • yes Korok, the thunder set is great with the strong Charge Blade. Although Deviljho has also a good weakness to blast, and Stamina Thief in the GS set works good too. I think HG Earplugs are more necessary against Jho when he's above lv.136 (Guild Quests in MH4U). Because then you need every opportunity to hit him and he does massive damage.

  • I can't really compare both sets bec. I fight far better with the Charge Blade. Do you consider to start MH4U too? It is great, a perfect mix of single and multiplayer, and later on you can make Guild Quests for awsome Relics. The monsters in the GQ's level up to 140. From lv.126 on you can get great weapons and armor pieces. You will hardly find someone that has the same Relic as you.

  • Didn't plan to get in mh4u, wanted to wait 'til mhX, but when I saw that 50% sales off...maybe got it next week^^

    Yeahs1
  • KoroK you won't regret it. Personally I hope that we'll get an enhanced version of MHX. I like the engame in MH4U very much with the expeditions, Guild Quests for challenge until lv.140 and most of all - the Relic weapons. And in MHX there is no real endgame after you beat the story.
