That was an AMAZING game with AWFUL controls! I don't know what to think of it now! I hated the ground gameplay... My poor hands...

I didn't even dare to try anything above 3.9! My left hand is already sore from playing this, so I didn't want to make the game go on any longer. Maybe with smaller hands...

I had to quit thx to hand pain. Awful ground controls, should've kept the whole game in the air.

Yep. Hand pain was the reason I played it very quickly. A week of this would've caused real problems real quick...

How exactly are you holding your 3ds? I have my left hand like in any other game, and my right pinky supports the other side while I hold the stylus like a pen. I've tested this on the original 3ds and the 3ds XL with pretty big hands and I've played about 2000 hours, no pains after I stopped using the stand.

I can't say how I was holding it, I just hold it the way I could at any given time. I had to fix my hand position often. This is a common issue to me with the 3ds btw, not just this game. The thing is too slim and cramped for me to hold comfortably a lot of the time. 20+ years of guitar playing has made my left hand "expect" more mass on it, I guess.

I'm pretty sure they designed the controls thinking it'd be a Wii game, I mean, you move Pit with the joystick while pointing on the screen and shooting with a trigger button, those are WiiMote controls all right.

Oh yeah I didn't even think about that.. That would've been great too!

C'mon guys, y'all are crying while a left-handed person isn't moaning about the controls, wrecking everything in this game, being one of the world's best players... What did he do ? He practiced, and found a way to play. Adding to this, I personally never ever had a problem with the controls. Quit criticizing, and keep playing.

Also, the 3ds is tiny, it's designed with babies in mind. The XL is more comfortable but none of them can feel like actual controllers or mice and keyboards. I to play I don't press L/R with the tips of my fingers but rather the middle. And a great improvement is the nyko battery pack making it fit into my hand.

Yeah the added thickness must help your grip a lot. I have a XL, and it's really thin to my liking. Maybe I should glue a piece of wood on to the bottom to help out a little! But I'm just a filthy casual who's experience was hindered by the controls. I liked the game. The story was nice and humorous, and the game has to be the best looking one on the 3ds.

you should get that addon where you get another stick for the 3dsxl. i have it and use it for long playing times. it give you better grip and make the 3dsxl bigger. that resident evil game revolution, or what its called. do support the extra stick too...

Yeah I know about the Gamecube controller thing, but I'm not hacking my 3ds for that. I think I'll pass on the Circle Pad Pro too Ron. Nintendo has already sold me a Wii U, 2ds, 3ds XL, a Pro Controller, 4 wiimotes, 2 nunchuks, and a Wii Fit board this generation, so the next piece of hardware is going to be the NX...

Harri, Harri, HARRI ive owned a 3ds and a 3ds xl and spent many hours playing games with hand pains after a while. i recently bought a £2.50 hand grip for my XL on ebay.waited over a month for it but it makes a huge differance making it much more comfortable. would highly recommend getting one.

That reminds me, try looking for some battery packs. I have a nyko battery for my original 3DS and the added thickness makes everything better.

Added battery life sure is nice! The extended battery on the Wii U gamepad is a must for example.. Miles better than the original.
