I just finished this game last Sunday, there are many ideas that have been taken out of TF and recent Mario games. Though the ideas that are unique to YWW are really good.

You shouldn't forget that Link's Awakening's 7th Dungeon Boss is where the origins of this kind of Boss can be found at. But still, the Bosses (mostly) aren't YIWW's strenght, unlike DKCTF.

You're both right. I think Woolly World is better than most people say, but boss fights are certainly not its strong suit.

I really loved Yoshi's Woolly World, I think it's both best Good-Feel and best Yoshi game. Tropical Freeze is amazing and much better than Returns in my opinion. Add Rayman Legend and you get the best three platformers of this generation.
