Steel Diver: Sub Wars

shout out to this guy! why were you so salty after you lost? I didn't cheat: that was just a sonar buster. Everyone has his own style, and mine is definitely not face2face combat. If you can't win from stealth, that's your problem.

  • -Bison: Hi bison! -SKK: i know, right? He called me a n00b in the chat room, and he dc'ed just when the battle was about to start. Result: my win streak broke. If there is anything I hate is when people call you a n00b after you defeated them. -Flame: Good to know I wasn't the only one.

My goal in this Game is to do my best to help My Team deny victory to the Opposing Team by all means allowed by the Game Mechanics. What people call me in the process I ignore. Otherwise, I would be falling victim to their Psychological Warfare!!

  • -SKK: I try to deny the opponents team victory too, but I will always try to keep attacking. The only time I've run, it still was a defeat bcause the opponents still had more than one player. That was in the artic cirkle. Since then, I always tried to ambush the opponents, taking them down one by one without taking dagage (if I get hit, i will be sunk most of the time bcause I already took too...

  • Much damage. -Flame: I partially disagree, the chat room still has uses: You can wish the others good luck, you can congratulate them, you can greet friends... But there are too many people just spamming 'e' (that's just annoying) and people who just say things that aren't nice.

Sure. Denying Victory To The Opponent is a broader term that covers both Victory and Draw. I like to use it to emphasize an aspect of the Game that People fixated on Win Streaks tend to forget... Straight Running can work in Islands or Arctic Circle as a Last Desperate Option, because one or more members of the Opposing Team might accidentally disconnect (many things can happen within 10 minutes)!

  • It's tricky in the islands. But it's manageable to pull it off in the fish tank (if your dive/surface is good enough) and in the hot springs.

Hmmm...Straight Running in Fish Tank. Only with the help of Stealth. Much easier in Hot Springs, Stealth or Not. In Islands, easy but only with a very fast sub, Stealth or not.

  • I wouldn't call it straight running, tough. I not only try to deny them their win, I also try to minimize there points while maximizing my own. It's more like the hit-and-run kind of strategy.

OK. I was only talking about Straight Running: Trying to get a Draw (Time Runs out) or even Victory (Enemy disconnects) by refusing to engage. I consider Running a valid tactic, since it is one of the ways allowed by Game Mechanics to deny Victory to the Opponent. I rarely use it because my sub is very slow. But sometimes I do!

Once, I faced 2 Sea hounds, 1 Big Walrus and 1 Silver Pike in a 4 vs 1 with my Durability 10 Crustacea in Arctic Circle. They attacked me all at the same time as I was waiting for them in a narrow corner and sunk them all. But, had they spread and run, they would have easily defeated me!
