Well in the french game localisation, all the names are french, so I haven't noticed it. What is his name in the english version ? "Profiteur" too ? And NO, we are NOT like this ! ^^

Yup, his name is Profiteur as well in the English localization, which makes it funnier. ^^

Yeah, he's Erutus Profiteur here too as Fredo said. All of the characters have names with themed meanings, many coming from different languages. His first name is Latin.

Haha, thanks for all these details guys ! Yes I figured out now that "Profiteur" is his name, and "marchand" his job. In the storyline action, I just read the subtitles a little bit too quickly.

I personally think the job holders are the best characters, so they're worth listening to. You can always go back and watch scenes later though in the video player~

But neither Latin nor Erutus are french names (even very old). What do you mean by names with themed meanings ? Are french people known to be greedy ? Or just bad guys ^^ ? In the game, characters are often balanced in their personality, half-good half-bad. Only very few characters are 100 % bad. Unfortunatly he's one of them I think (not finished the game yet however), why should he be french ?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Erutus is a word in the language Latin, meaning 'torn up'. I'm not sure why he's french, but his last name is a reference to how he uses money in battle. The names tend to have meaning behind them. I'm not sure about the French version, but in the English version, the White Mage is called Holly Whyte, Whyte being a reference to the magic she uses.

It doesn't works like this in the french localization. Characters have just a first name, and no name but a description of their job position. So instead of Holly Whyte, we have Holly la magicienne blanche, meaning Holly the white mage. That is exaclty why I didn't paid attention about Profiteur nationality (supposing there could be a nationality in the game).

You're wrong about the meaning of Profiteur in french. I don't know the exact word in english, but it is an adjective that describes somebody who takes benefits from the work of the others. I don't know if it is correct in english but it is a kind of 'arrivist'. So it is actually a reference to the storyline.

Hmm, the wiki must be wrong then~ His name is still a reference though. Thanks for that clarification =D (I think the English word is 'profiteer' which essentially means that, but is more closely associated with money here.) Even the first names are references sometimes, and the names all look the same over here (though Heinkel is his last name).

I can't remember if they're referred to by name or job in the Journal here, but I know that sometimes their name changes in the speech (sometimes it's their name and their job, or a title or their last name.)
