I gonna play as Squid Yoshi. I scanned all my amiibos before heading in this new adventure. It's sadly that pokemon amiibos don't give their patterns. I would like Greninja Yoshi.

    Do the Pokemon amiibos even do anything in games besides Smash? Not counting the things where the amiibo you scan doesn't matter.

    Currently SSB is only game where pokemon amiibos have that specific use. Seems like GameFreak doesn't want let use pokemon amiibos in other games. It's kinda weird because they are like 2nd party developer to Nintendo. And even 3rd party Amiibos give their patterns to Yoshi. Well at least pokemon Amiibo will give "Amiibo Yoshi" pattern.
