    Good gravy! An awful lot happened while I was gone! I do still enjoy Mario Kart 8, the way I play it though might irk some people xD I go on single-player and set the CPU to easy, no items and either 150cc or 200cc, random tracks and just blast through them!

    In Mario Kart 8? Hold A around when the 2 starts disappearing. Hold it too early and you'll stall, too late and you won't get a boost or it'll be a smaller one. It's worth holding it a little bit earlier than that, so you can tell when you're holding it for too long.

    HEY ALL...cant go online with either mk8 or splatoon. have to open tcp and udp ports in my router, so nintendo says.....which i did and guess what......SH...T NINTENDO......wrong!!!!!! still cant play or level up......starting to hate nintendo programmers

    Wait, are you posting these from your Wii U or a PC or 3DS? 'Cos that's pretty vital information. Also, they've been doing online maintenance recently, which can knock out online stuff. If your connection settings for your Wii U have been set up correctly, then the maintenance could be the problem.

    #SCOTT yes, sending from wii u. they, nintendo are saying that i have to unock a list of TCP And UDP ports in my router and then it will work........NOT WORKING.....PORTS OPENED. aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!! getting miffed with it now..... three days and nintendo are fracking useless. any help/ideas appreciated.. whats new?

    Forget what it's telling you to do for now, are you seeing a message with an Error Code when you try to connect? Does it have a number on it like 112-2103 or something?

    We need to start from the beginning, so I can get an idea of what's going on. Undo all the changes you made to your router's settings. Delete your connection settings from your Wii U and search for it again. Input the security key and let it get everything else automatically. Test the connection and if it works, try going on multiplayer again. Then tell us exactly what the Error Message says.
