    Nope! I gained a 1 - Up by collecting 100 coins. Which makes my 1 - UP Counter to 3 lives then I hit the Box and Got a extra life making it 4 lives in total,

    Yeh you can get 3 lives from one level but It's 4 If you include the 3 1-UP mushooms plus the 1- UP mushroom from the box.

    The ones from the box don't count on top of, only towards the 3. Next time, check how many lives you had before starting a level and see if it ever goes up by more than 3...I doubt it will...either way, in normal mode, you'll never need them anyway, lol.

    I have. Even though the limt is 100 lives i still got 4 lives but I dont get 104 lives in total.

    I mean if you lose more than 4 lives before playing. Yes, you need to be showing 96 to know how many you got.
