    Responding to the game's difficulty: I thought it can be pretty difficult. And I think I have some platform skillz having completed SMB. xD It obviously isn't as difficult as older Mario.

    But I'm OK with that. The older games were a total challenge, you felt great when you beat the game. The Marios nowadays want to be more relaxing, but you still feel great playing them.

    To be honest, the general feel of all games these days is far too relaxed. I grew up with the NES Zelda and Mario games, which, although not as good at storytelling, they were much more rewarding.

    get it right... I think Nintendo were closest to the mark with A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but still, i wouldn't say any of them were close to challenging... :/

    Let's hope that they get it right in the future. The Hero Mode in Zelda SS wasn't challenging either. Still great games in many aspects! :)
