    IV's, or Individual Values, are the pokemon's genetic code. They are given completely at random when the pokemon is hatched or caught, and the more assigned to a certain stat, the better it will grow.

    notice how when you catch 2 pokemon of the same level, they have different stats. so one might have better attack than the other means its attack is a high iv.

    if you wanna know what your best ivs are, go to the man in purple, in the Kiloude City pokemon centre. if he states that one or more stats “cant be beat”, you have that/those stats at max!!!
