I remember playing Pac-Mania a lot when I was little, feeling really powerful as you jump over the ghosts in the first few levels before being completely overwhelmed by the speed & number of enemies just a few levels later. We didn't need much convincing to hit reset & try again though. Even today the game feels just as fun & devilish as it did all those years ago.

    I played it on my brothers Master System after we picked it up in a clearance sale from our local rental shop. I also picked up Pac-Man Collection itself many years later (around 2005?) while on holiday, though somehow it made its way from my own collection to being an almost permanent fixture in my Dad's DS when I wasn't looking ^_-

    i'm surprised at how bad the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version of Pac-Mania looked and sounded

    Haven't seen the Mega Drive version, will habe to look it up. I didn't have much experience with the system until Wii Virtual Console. My Aunt had a Mega Drive but the only games I remember them having was Sonic the Hedgehog & a football game.
