I don't need fireballs to hit my opponents to make them spin out, I can easily make that happen just by looking at them.

Also apparently my own fireballs explode into nothing before the person I was looking at spins out, provided I've thrown them first, but that's besides the point.

Fireballs hitting the air, spining a racer nearby... Online doesn't like logic.

It could look like it's doing its proper job on the other person's end, but yeah, all common sense goes out the window online.

The same sort of thing happened on SNES Donut Plains 3, with the invincible Yoshi's collision being delayed on the same guy as my fireball on Mount Wario.
